Transforming Cities Fund (TCF) Cycle Lanes
Mike Parkes and Cathy Lugg have been dealing with the traffic issues associated with the Transforming Cities Fund (TCF) cycle lanes, and also gas and water leaks. They have received, and answered, a substantial number of emails.
They have met with residents and project managers, and have had regular meetings.
They have spent literally weeks on this and will continue to do so until the current phase ends in November.
TCF is Government-funded, not by Dorset Council.
Despite local disruptions whilst the work is undertaken, local benefits have included resurfaced roads and pavements, upgraded traffic lights and lowering of speed limits which deters HGVs which are travelling through from Poole to the M27, because their navigation systems send them on faster routes, rather than through Ferndown on the A31.
